Available in a wide range of varieties, with blooms resembling delicate single-petal roses, both Helleborus orientalis and Helleborus niger are well-suited for winter survival, thriving from pot to garden bed. For a stunning winter display, plant hellebores in groups of three to five, or pair them with other hardy companions like snowdrops, daffodils, cyclamen, bleeding hearts, trillium, and Japanese tassel ferns. Throughout the event, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy stunning orchid displays showcasing a wide array of blooms—from vibrant, well-known varieties to rare and exotic species. These orchids will be judged in several categories, with awards for the most impressive and unique specimens. The Propagation House will be transformed into an exotic space, making it the perfect place to immerse yourself in the delicate beauty and rich diversity of orchids. 11th Annual La Conner Daffodil Festival While the tulips are Skagit Valley's most famous blooms, there’s nothing quite as cheerful as fields of bright yellow daffodils set against our foothills. During the month of March, La Conner is buzzing with activities for visitors, making it a fun and scenic destination to include during your visit to see the fields of daffodils.
