Kids Compost and Soil Biology Workshop
If your kids like being hands-on and curious about how things grow, they’ll love this.
I’m offering a Kids Compost & Soil Biology Workshop at the Mount Vernon library at 11:15am.
This is a small, interactive class where kids will work with real materials and learn how soil works in a way that actually sticks.
In this workshop, they will: • Build a real compost pile and learn what to use (and what to avoid)
- Use a microscope to see living soil biology
- Make compost tea and learn how to apply it
Each participant will receive: • All materials during the class
- A take-home book
- Mature compost and seeds to get started at home
📅 Date: May 2
⏰ Time: 11:15 AM (up to 2 hours)
Ages 8+
This is an indoor, hands-on workshop (not a lecture), and space is limited to keep it interactive.
💲 Cost: $25 per child
($5 off each additional sibling)
A $10 deposit is required to reserve a spot, with the remainder due day of the class.
If you’re interested, feel free to comment or reach out and I can share final details.
